For the price you pay for location, seems they could upkeep better. All 3 drawers in our dresser didn't close properly, off track or something. Bathrooms could use some new caulk, gappy and dirty looking.

No menus for food nor drinks. Pool is part of the gym inside the building, so it's only a lap pool. There is a sauna which would be nice in the winter. No mini fridge in room. Room was tired and worn. AC unit noisy and ran constantly without much impact on temperature. Wallpaper peeling and old. Staff at restaurant was horrible. They dont encourage people booking hotel from other web sites They prefer it from there site and they help them only.

I was staying in hotel for times square view Not for other view Overall worat experience. While the staff was nice, they didn't do a darn thing. A smile and a kind word does not make a bed. I know this because one day we came back to a room that hadn't been serviced, reasons still unclear. We became quite close to Terrance, the front desk agent at night.

Pleasant as can be, but it took 3 calls to get some towels delivered. We asked for tissues, and no joke- were handed a wad of tissues. Guess the boxes are for special people? Shampoo is also held in the vault. The fan in the bathroom didn't work so everything just steamed up. The shower was broken and given it's a wall of glass, it's a serious safety hazard. It also meant the water just poured out of the shower and puddled on the floor.

A real problem when you can't get an extra towel. The wallpaper is peeling up and there was mold, likely do to the broken vent. The window in the room was broken. We figured it was safe with our son cause it really wouldn't open, but it also didn't quite close. The black out curtains were the dirtiest thing I've ever seen and had large obvious rips in them. Oh, and to top it all off they did maintenance on the plumbing and shut off the hot water.

Guess how I found that out? Nope, not through a phone call or a note slipped under the door. But only once I was in the shower and the water just wouldn't get hot. I will literally never return to this location, nor will I stay in another Crown Plaza. Or walk 2 avenues to 5th with shopping. Could hear sirens at times, but never woke us up. Black out shades make is very dark and close by overlapping, so no need to rig it shut.

AC gives off good white noise. Coffee cart right outside. Bed was comfortable enough, but could still feel my husband turn. Excellent location at Times Square, spacious room,. Nice location and nice size room. Location was great, right in the moddle of Times Square with easy access to shows, many subway lines, Central Park and more. Hotel was spotless and roomy, esp for a NYC hotel. Everything about the stay was top notch! Heart of Times Square and nearby restaurants andd theaters make it a convenient location, plus several subway stations within 2 blocks. Good sized rooms Great arrangement for families Right in Times Square if that is what you want.

Good value if you need two rooms. At first we had no towels. They brought towels up pretty quickly. Then I later realized there was a dirty bar of soap in the shower I asked to switch rooms, because I did not feel that this room was clean. They switched us to Hilton honors room immediately, which had free Wi-Fi for guests. This was reasonable compensation. The rooms could use a little repair. There was part of a sticker left on furniture, broken tile in the bathroom, wallpaper was coming up in the corners, curtain rod and was broken off the curtains in the window, fridge would freeze food.

We would stay there again. I booked my room through "Getaroom" which made no mention of the "resort fee. Could be a bit loud with all the honking taxis and construction outside. The Maid staff was ready to clean rooms by 9. Forgot to put the do not disturb sign up lol.

Centrally located with a few block from everything. We enjoyed a very nice weekend away without our children. We checked out around noon but still had plans in the city. We were able to leave out bags conveniently. We booked the wrong date for the hotel. After we went to hotel and was told by the first staff that the hotel was sold out.

She did not check the computer. Then we sit down in the lobby and booked the same hotel in 2 minutes. We were assigned the room right next to the elevator and it was very noisy.

Huge TV in the room.. Great location, staff, cleanliness. Had two double beds for an affordable price. Clean, spacious rooms that are tastefully decorated and comfortable. Heat was stuck on high and it was super hot. Luckily the windows work and we could get a cold breeze.

Pillows were fluffy and flat at the same time. No coffee in the rooms. Hotel restaurants are rather mediocre. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby. Room size was small and price for small room was high. The room needed to be repainted. The bed was terrible. For the 4 stars hotel, I will only give 2 stars. We did not appreciate someone's socks hidden under the chair pillow and an aged piece of brownie in the fridge.

Or the change of the room selected during the checking to a one with a door to an adjacent room that provided a minimum sound insulation. Towels were a bit scratchy, bathroom was small. Too difficult to get the internet. You have to join their club or jump through hoops daily. The Time New York. Finally, don't miss the Museum of Modern art for a day spent admiring the modern masters. We liked the simply look of the room and bathroom. Very modern and abstract. Great location, friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Choose a street facing room if possible, as some rooms are claustrophobic. This was our third stay at the Time over the last 5 years and we've never been disappointed. Especially for the price!

Staff was super friendly; comfy, modern room; great location in the theatre district and time square; room service breakfast from the Serafina was excellent. Our recent stay at The Time was perfect! The staff at this hotel were all amazing. Each one as helpful and friendly as the next. The bed was super comfy, amazing waterfall showers, and great room service menu as well. Super central to everything, shops, food, shows, transit. The room was comfortable, a good size and very quiet. It should be a beautiful hotel when the project is finished. Rooms are very nice but could use a bit more sound proofing.

We could hear the people in the next room. We were in room Great location, and wonderful staff. The rooms were dingy. The service was awful. They first tried to put us in a full bed room and then we had to go downstairs and complain. The rooms looked much better on the site than in "really life". The beds were gross with the blue comforter. The only thing that was nice was the tiny bathroom. I wouldn't stay here again.

Our stay was for a short period time so not much to comment on. If the food wasn't delicious we probably would've made a bigger stink about it. Our AC broke over night, so we woke up to a huge puddle and part of the carpet was soaked from the AC leaking, but we we're checking out that day anyway and it was not anyone's fault.

Hotel is small, rooms are small, elevators are small, room is not nice, even though it was remodeled without taste or sense of technology. Skip this hotel stay in the hotel literally in front of this one called "The Pearl Hotel". Trust me, it will not be a disappointment. Hotel was under construction which was not noted in the description. The lobby was moved to the second floor from the first and lots of workers and equipment were evident. Overpriced for such small and unclean rooms.

Our window was broken and we could hear everything at night, which in Times Square is loud and at times unbearable. Whatever brings you here, enjoy plenty of opportunities to work and play — the New York City way, of course. Friendly staff, club lounge was great. It was close to the office and other amenities.

Other than that, it was pretty disappointing for the money. The appearance of the hotel is beautiful. It was clean, very friendly staff, luxurious accommodations! Location Bed was comfortable. The location was good, and price wasn't bad for NYC hotels. From our friendly greeting at the front desk to room service everyone top notch service! The hotel was clean and modern, location was perfect for a central park based visit.

The matress was old not comfortable and making a squeaking, and the parking was very expensive and i have to wait to 12 minutes for my car , the staff didn't care when i told them my wife pregnant and she can't be on her feets for long times, i travel a lot and have been in the sheraton in too many countries but that was not what I usually got , not worse my money. I booked a room last minute after trying to save a few extra dollars staying at a nearby hotel. Felt like I was staying in a palace at the Sheraton in comparison to other place. The new elevator system was a joke. Ten minutes for a lift is far too long.

The room was very small for the price. I could barely move in the bathroom. This charge is borderline larceny for the lack of value provided. I'm contemplating a charge back to recover the money due to the exorbitant and hidden nature of the charge. Needs a lot of refurbishing. Walls are paper thin and were woken up each night by gents next door. No free water as promised. Check in process was absolutely horrendous. It took a literal 45 minutes to get 5 people checked in.

There was no communication or effort to speed up check in. I am a very, very accommodating traveler, but this was unacceptable and horrendous. Very Noisy, difficult to sleep, from indoor sound and outdoor sound. Small rooms High prices for items in the room without a pricing list. Difficult to connect to the internet in the rooms. Many taxes on top of the agreed per night fees. The staff at check-in were very rude. The room was tiny, the bed was not very comfortable, and the windows were so thin or poorly sealed that we could hear the street noise even on the 20th floor so loudly it sounded as if the windows were open.

The walls were very thin too as we could clearly hear voices in adjacent rooms. The hotel restaurant felt very low budget. We booked a superior king room which was not much bigger than my closet at home. I was hoping with a superior room it was going to be a little bit bigger. Our shower didnt have a shower curtain on it and we didnt realize it until we were in a rush.

Rooms too small Shower with curtains very uncomfortable. Hotel Mela Times Square. Featured amenities include a business center, express check-in, and express check-out. Close to some very good restaurants. Staff were very courteous and my daughter had a great time question the concierge JP. He doted on her every chance he got.

The room was an ok room large because it was a room outfitted for wheel chair customers. They removed the fridge and the safe wasn't installed. But overall it was comfortable clean and spacious. The restaurant next door was cozy and offered great food. It was a bit pricey. I would recommend Pret A Manger for breakfast as their fare is healthy and affordable.

I would definitely go back to Hotel Mela for its location and price. Loved early bag check-in, friendly staff, safe environment, and location! People working there were nice. You get what you paid for. The whole staff was excellent. They were courteous, and very accommodating especially the Filipino guy who always helped us with our luggage and arranged for our transportation. The front desk was very helpful with information about NYC. The room was fairly small but I already expected that since it was clearly stated in their website.

I don't mind staying in a small room as long as it is clean and Hotel Mela is very clean. The Housekeeping assured that we have enough towels and toiletries and the lady was very polite. The Bistro downstairs was also very commendable. Their breakfast was superb and the service was impeccable. The location was perfect, too. As first timers in NYC, it really helped us because everything was walking distance to out hotel.

Market Picks

Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend it to my friends. Welcoming staff, easy check in, convenient location Great little restaurant serves good food and easy dining. Stayed many times at hotel and very consistent. Very helpful and friendly desk staff. Bowl of free apples on counter.

Location is right in the middle of all the Time Square action and broadway shows, and lots of restaurants - if that is what you want. Staff booked our car service for trip back to airport and service was excellent and reasonably priced. The room was small no chair, no real closet but was clean and the elevators ran fast.

Very close to Times Square, but relatively quiet. I would return and recommend to friends. I stayed for 6 noghts and my flight back home was only 9: I asked 2 hours extra and they asked me a entire day charge. Ridiculously they asked me dollars for 1 hour extra. I think it lacked a bit of kindness. No natural light, you wouldn't know it was daylight outside. Furnishings looked tired and "inexpensive". Bed was uncomfortable - cheap mattress. Not for anyone with any hint of back problems. Elevators are so small they only hold 2 people. The first room we stayed in which was in 5th floor near the elevator needed an update.

It was a bit dark but still ok. Wish they had "loyalty" program for frequent guests. Room space is tight. The closet for hanging up long pants is inadequate. Must call front desk to request a bucket of ice - no ice machines. Bathroom lacks sufficient towel rods and there is no place to hang up a wet washcloth, no shelf or niche in shower to place shampoo, body wash, etc except for one tiny triangular metal soap dish type thing.

Only one shelf below the bathroom vanity to place toiletry bags, had to place hair dryer on floor. Hardly any counter space around bathroom sink, and only one narrow glass shelf above sink. Why is bathroom so sparse and lacking in these necessities? On one occasion, a drunk guest tried to open our room door at 2 a.

Get out of here! This worked; he left. Hotel Edison is a beautiful, modern hotel situated right in the heart of downtown New York City. Visitors to the Big Apple will relish this top-end art deco hotel as it is within walking distance of Broadway and Times Square.

Location was great for seeing a show. Plenty of places to eat in the area. Rooms have been updated and the staff was very friendly. Hotel is well located. Steps from our show, Springsteen on Broadway. Helpful and friendly staff. I liked the location of the hotel. The complimentary umbrella for use while staying in the hotel came in very handy! The location is pretty close to a lot of famous landmarks. The onsite restaurant has a great selection and is fairly priced for NYC, I felt. Youssef at the front desk was wonderful and helpful.

Always a smile on his face. Location wasn't too bad. Very close to Times square. Walking distance to Broadway shows and shops. Only good thing about this hotel is the location. Transportation desk clerk was very rude and the transportation requested didn't happen. There was a fee for the food delivery that was unknown to us. Probably should use the phrase "no-fees on the card. Only location is good. Hotel looks like a stale, old bathroom equipment, there is no bar and restaurant in the hotel; standard rooms windows overlook the courtyard, or rather, the windows of another wing of the hotel, the constant noise of ventilation and construction equipment is under the windows.

Of the six elevators only two operate in this multistory building. On the day of departure, I was late for the shuttle, since at least 15 minutes wait for the elevator to come down with luggage - only one elevator was operating! Reception explained that the hotel is in the process of reconstruction. But there was not warning about this on the site! Based on 9 reviews. Just viewed by other Agoda travelers.
